Compassion is at the core of the thirty-plus programs offered to Iowans by HCI Hospice Care Services, Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa and Amanda the Panda Family Grief Center.
These three 501(c)3 non profits have come together to premiere The Art of Compassion to bring to the forefront the care, empathy and financial support needed for effective community-based care of Iowa’s individuals and families.
Human Kind, Be Both is the 2018 theme for this annual, signature event. Human Kind, Be Both is an initiative to change the way people see and experience the world. Throughout the year, we encourage you to engage in random acts of kindness –small gestures that have the potential to make an impact on the life of someone else.
The campaign will culminate with The Art of Compassion's celebratory event on Thursday, October 11. Dinner, short program, silent & live auctions and sponsorship recognition will be held.

Pick a card. Take it home. Spread kindness. Our interactive public art installations will include individual cards for you to grab. Printed on each card will be a random act of kindness challenging the community to spread compassion to all—strangers, neighbors, family and friends. Help us make our community and our world a little brighter, one, simple act at a time.
We Challenge You! Complete one act of kindness and share using #AOCiowa to be entered to win $100 and two tickets to Art of Compassion on October 11th, 2018! The more acts of kindness you do, the more chances to win!
